Google Reader

Using Google Reader

I have no idea if I'm using Google Reader as it is intended.  I wasn't even sure I subscribed. I ended up doing a Google search for Google Reader.  Once logged in I was able to do a quick search and found specific blog postings.  Then I realized that I had been using it all along:) I can see why this would be useful if you want to blog about a specific topic or refer back to a previous blog.   How are you using Google Reader?  I hope to learn more on how to utilize Google Reader more effectively.

  1. Michelle,
I am sure I am not using this tool to it's fullest potential either. I know it is there, and sometimes I stumble into it when checking my blog or my email but I rarely enter on purpose. ( Bad I know). I think this tool is something I will need to get used to and I'm not there yet. I stick to my tried and true contact info document to redirect me!

    1. Don't worry about using it to its fullest potential! Worry about using it so that it makes life easier for you. Whatever works for YOU! I use it when I sit down to read class blogs. Instead of accessing that google doc and then clicking on each individual blog (and maybe some of those haven't even been updated so its a total waste), I log into google reader and because I've subscribed to everyone's, I read the most recently updated blogs - everyone's is in one place. Hope that helps!
