Kids and Handhelds
In this video I found on You Tube, students are asked what difference using handhelds has made to their learning. I was intrigued by their responses. The CEO, of GoKnow Inc. Mr. Elliot Soloway helps listeners understand why handhelds have so many advantages. They help students take control of their own learning, it allows for collaboration, and helps to organize.What do you think?

What an interesting video! During my conferences this year, a concern that kept coming up was students' organizational skills. The excuse being that's just how adolescents are. But is it? I never thought that technology could help students with those skills. I think for that reason alone, students should be able to BYOD, eliminating binders and folders of paper!
ReplyDeleteI agree that this video helps us to understand how students react to handhelds. The students mention many advantages of handhelds that would otherwise hard to achieve. The convenience, interactiveness, and organizational aspects of handheld are evident. Are you able to cite the source for this video and who the main speaker is?
